A heated debate has filled the air since former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was appointed the High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa on Saturday.

Political leaders from different parts of the country have come out to congratulate him while others have advised him to quit his political career for he has landed a higher job.

Mwingi Central Member of Parliament, Gideon Mulyungi yesterday rubbished claims that referendum will not take place after Raila’s new appointment saying it is for Kenyans not any politician’s.

‘20% of the constitution needs some amendments and that why referendum will take place,’ the area Mp said.

The Mp further noted that the leaders telling Raila to shun politics are just afraid of ‘Baba’ and want him to go reside outside the country insisting that if Kenyans want to amend the constitution,NASA principal’s new appointment will not affect referendum.

Tsunami,as the Mp is commonly known stated that according to him Rao will not retire from politics as some Jubilee leaders are saying adding that the post he sits on now is courtesy of politics.
