Kalonzo Musyoka served as the Kenya’s ninth Vice President to President Mwai Kibaki from 2008 upto 2013.He is the party leader of Wiper Democratic Movement.He contested for the country’s top seat in 2007 elections and has been the presidential running mate for the last two polls.
Charity Kaluki Ngilu She was the first woman to contest for presidential seat in Kenya, 1997 elections. Ngilu has served as MP for Kitui Central, Minister for Water, Health and Lands.She is currently the Governor of Kitui County.She is the NARC party leader.
Dr. Alfred Mutua He served as the first Government Spokesperson under Kibaki’s last term as the president and also the first (also the incumbent) governor for Machakos County. He is the national party leader of Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement (MCCM).
Mwendwa Family ; Kitili Maluki Mwendwa He served as the First Black Chief Justice of independent Kenya and also as MP for Kitui West constituency.His brother Eliud Ngala Mwendwa was among the first team of Cabinet Ministers (Labour) in the first independent cabinet of Kenya under the presidency of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.Nyiva Mwendwa She was the First Female Cabinet Minister in Kenya.She served as the minister for Gender and Social Services from 1995.She is the wife to Kitili Maluki Mwendwa.Hon. Nyiva was the first Women Rep. to Kitui county, 2013-2017 before she retired from the active politics.
Prof. Kivutha Kibwana He was the first Governor of Makueni County and the party leader to Muungano Party.He also served as MP for Makueni constituency and as a Cabinet Minister.Before venturing into politics, Prof. Kibwana served as the Dean of Law Faculty University Of Nairobi.Between 2007-2013, he served as the Legal Advisor to the former President Mwsi Kibaki.He is the current Chairman to Wiper Party.
David Musila He is the current Chairman of the National Museums of Kenya and the immediate former Kitui County Senator.Hon. David Musila served as the MP for Mwingi South and PC for Eastern Province.He is also the former Wiper Party national Chairman.
Kiema Kilonzo He was appointed the first Kenyan Ambassador to Turkey under Jubilee Government took over from the coalition government in 2013.He is currently the Kenyan Ambassador to Uganda.Hon. Kiema Kilonzo served as the MP for Kitui East (Mutito) constituency.
Dr. Julius Makau Malombe He was the first Governor of Kitui County, 2013-2017.
Wavinya Ndeti She is the former MP for Kathiani.She has served as Assistant Minister for Youths, Sports and Gender under President Kibaki government.Party leader to Chama Cha Uzalendo, CCU.She has contested for Machakos gubernatorial seat twice, on CCU in 2013 and on Wiper Party in 2017 but lostconsecutively to the incumbent Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua.
Mutula Kilonzo Senior (Born 2 July 1948 – Died 27 April 2013) He was Senior Counsel and the the first Senator of Makueni County and also served as the was Senior Counsel, former Cabinet Minister and first Senator of Makueni County.Also served as Mbooni MP (2007-2013) and as Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Education and the Secretary General to ODM-K (now Wiper Party).He was succeeded by his son Mutula Kilonzo Jr. as the Makueni Senator.
Johnstone Muthama He is the former Kangundo MP and the First Machakos County Senator (203-2017).He declined vie for any political seat in 2017 polls.
Joseph Paul Ngei he is the former Kangundo MP and the Africa People’s Party, APP leader.He was among the freedom fighters who fought for Kenya’s independence.Also served Ministerial positions.
Mulu Mutisya He is the former Ukambani pointman during the President Moi’s KANU government.He was from Mwala Constituency where ue represented to the parliament and leader for New Akamba Union, NAU.
Mbiti Mati He was among the long serving Speakers to the Kenyan Parliament.
