Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has urged Kitui residents to avoid electing leaders on a political party basis but instead vote for those with visible development track records. He stated that everyone has the right and duty to exercise his or her democratic right through electing their chosen leaders.
Mr. Nimrod further urged, Kitui Governor, Charity Ngilu to exercise and implement her policy and manifesto which she had promised the residents of Kitui County rather than attacking MCAs, MP and other political leaders in Kitui County.
Speaking at Zombe grounds, he impelled the Governor to act rather than politicising the dwellers of Kitui County. He urged the Governor to implement the bottom-up approach while addressing issues relating to planning and implementation of projects in the whole county equally.
“Respect others if you need to be respected.,…. do to others what you need others to do for you”, Nimrod emphasized.
The MP, further called out for people not to accept to be defrauded by politicians who aren’t worthy but rather to vote for leaders who have already implemented their policies and manifestos. In his statement he urged the residents to resist colonization from such leaders but instead to embrace leaders with change.
Mbai stated that he’s supporting Ngilu in her implementation of projects as opposed to other political leaders. Mr Mbai even offered to support Governor Ngilu succeed in carrying out her duties. ”Ngilu’s development record is ‘visible for those with eyes to see and audible for those with ears to hear’,” Mbai stated.
Nimrod thanked all Kitui East residents for voting and believing in him and further stated that he is ready to fulfill for his policies, promises, and manifestos he had previously promised the residents of Kitui East constituency before his election as the area MP. to ‘bring hope and satisfaction to the disillusioned Kitui people’.
