Ngilu wants KeNHA & NLC to come clear on compensation money for Kitui-Kibwezi

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu wants two state agencies to solve compensation for land owners in the county.

During a tour of one of the affected points -Ikanga- today afternoon, the Governor addressed fears of residents illegitimately losing their land or having their structures demolished in the ongoing construction of Kitui- Kibwezi road.

She said no individual will lose their land or incur loses in the continuing process saying she had met KeNHA authorities over the same earlier in the day.

The Governor called on any residents occupying the road reserve to willingly relocate to pave way for construction of the much awaited road.

“If you are not occupying the road reserve, you have no cause to worry – but- if your occupying the road reserve, it is advisable you freely vacate to solve the issue” she said.

The Governor called on KeNHA to ensure the process is flawless and that every action is backed by law to avoid disputes.
