President Uhuru should do more to ensure public coffers are protected, Mp Nguna


Mwingi west Member of Parliament has lauded H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta for his continued fight against graft fulfilling his utterances when he issued a speech the nation during the state of the nation occasion.


President Uhuru said corruption compromises the promise of devolution, realization of big 4 agenda,human dignity among other factors creating distortion and division by setting the wrong example. In addition, Uhuru vowed to deepen fight against corruption.


Speaking at Kikiini primary school in Migwani sub-county where he was issuing a development cheque at the school, Mwingi West Mp, Charles Nguna lauded President Uhuru on his firm move to bring all culprits into book after Treasury CS, Henry Rotich was arrested alongside other officials.


“Majority of residents in Kenya suffer because of corruption that has deepened its roots in this country. Residents suffer from poor roads, poor infrastructure in schools, shortage of water among other key issues resulting from the menace,” said Nguna.

However, Nguna said arrest of Henry Rotich is not enough and that the President should do more to ensure money looted is returned and electorates benefit.
