Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has called on all elected leaders in the county to set aside personnal and party interests and serve their electrolates.
Speaking at Kyangwithya West during the burial ceremony of former councillor Elijah Muveva Kilombe, Governor Ngilu said that it was important to serve the people and refrain from untimely politicking.
” Every leader’s joy is to serve a healthy community, with clean water and jobs for the youths”. Ngilu said.
She further said the lifting of the county referral facility to a level five hospital was realized following continued efforts by the county leadership to attain quality healthcare.
The Governor hinted on meeting a meeting with Members of the County Assembly to discuss matters county development.
The late Cllr Muveva served for 24yrs since 1979, 1997 – 2002 when he retired from active politics. He passed on on 11th July at kitui Level 5 hospital .
