Ngilu kicks out Leader of Minority in Kitui County Assembly

The ruling and minority party in the County Government of Kitui, NARC, has made a resolution to replace the Leader of Minority in the County Assembly after the resignation of Hon. John Kisangau who has been custodian of the position.

The position of Minority Leader that has been  under headship of Yatta/Kwa vonza MCA  John Kisangau aka Mbaki Mbaki now has been bestowed to Hon. Alex Mutambu Nganga.

A letter seen by KituiOnline communicating the same changes is on County Speaker’s desk for action.Kitui County Assembly Speaker, Hon George Ndotto is expected to officially communicate to the house.

Other new apointees alongside Hon. Alex Nganga are Silvester Kitheka who will take over as the Deputy Minority Leader, Boniface Katumo the Minority Whip, James Kula the Deputy Minority Whip and Anthony Mwanzia a Representative to the County Assembly Board.

Yatta ward legislator has however vowed to keep fighting for the rights of his electorates no matter the consequences he might face.

Kisangau cited the stalled road tarmacking project that was launched by the governor across all the wards to open up urbanized towns to the interior as a failure by the county administration to delivered fully to the people, further challenging Gov. Ngilu to resign if she can’t meet her election pledges.

Yatta MCA also touched on the side shows of blame game where after some incidences for instance the recent razing down of the County Treasury Offices, a finger of blame has always been directed to some elected leaders far from the county headquarters who have no direct involvement into the county administration.

He has threatened that the wrangles between the County Assembly and the County Executive might escalate assuring that the County Assembly shall not pass any Bill that is not in line with the law.

Kisangau has challenged Governor Charity Ngilu to call for fresh elections if she feels that she can’t fully deliver her manifesto to the people of Kitui.

Speaking after his resignation, Kisangau has said he is ready for a by-election in case Governor Ngilu’s NARC party kicks him out.
