Her Excellency Hon. Charity Ngilu has assured her electorates improved healthcare in all public hospitals within Kitui County.
“The County government is working very well to make sure that services are improved in health centres”,said Ngilu.
Speaking at Kalisasi area in Mwingi Central Constituency while giving a message of condolence to the family of the late concillor Musyoka Munyambu, Ngilu further disclosed that the County government through ministry of health is planning to construct amenity ward in Mwingi level IV hospital and other level IV hospitals within Kitui county.
“Once Level IV hospitals are improved will be able to treat more chronic diseases just like Kitui level V hospital“,said Kitui governor.
Ngilu added that more ambulances will be purchased in all public hospitals within Kitui county to enhance services in hospitals.
County Boss urged the residents who have not registered for Kitui County Health Insurance Cover (Kchic) to register.
“Since Kchic was launched the number of pregnant women delivering in public hospitals has increased from 43% to 78%”, said Ngilu.
She added that before Kchic was started patients used to struggle on payment of hospital bills.
