Be careful not to open door for thieves, Mp Mulyungi


Mwingi Central Mp, Gideon Mulyungi has urged Ukambani Residents to largely participate in census exercise that has kicked off today (Saturday )and ends at 31st of this month

According to the parliamentarian, the numbers give government guidance  on planning, issuing resources to citizens and also politicians get to know their stand urging residents to fully utilize the exercise in preparation for 2022 where Ukambani kingpin Kalonzo Musyoka eyes the presidential seat.

However, Mulyungi has urged locals to be very careful especially at night not to open doors for thieves pretending to be enumerators.

“Be careful not to open for thieves at night. Enumerators should belong to that same village and should be  accompanied by security officers or local administrators,” cautioned Mulyungi

“If they fail to identify themselves, do not open the door, let them come the following day during daytime,” Mulyungi further noted.

The legislator, has called upon CS, Matiangi to to step in and ensure Kitui residents are not enumerated in Tana river county as some locals residing Tanariver  – Kitui border will be counted as part of Tanariver River residents.

” Mwanzele, Katangi, Ndolongwe among several sub-locations have been included in Tana river county which should not be the case,” said Mulyungi
