Mwingi Central Mp, Gideon Mulyungi has urged Governor Ngilu to find money and pay striking doctors to save lives that are being lost daily following doctors strike over a month ago in Mwingi level 4 hospital.
Mulyungi, was speaking at the facility where he had made an impromptu visit.
During the visit, in the maternity ward, only one woman was in the room who has been left unattended nursing CS wound that was not stitched after th operation.
In the children wing, only a five year old baby has been left in the wing who has a broken leg and has no one to attend to him.
Surprisingly, patients are still streaming in in a bid to try their luck to get some treatment.
To their disappointment, no one is there to attend to them. Only security guards have been left in the busy hospital that serves a greater area bearing its located along Mwingi – Garissa highway.
A middle aged woman this evening came to the hospital after she broke her right hand but it took the intervention of the area Mp who called the medical superintended to provide one doctor to attend to her.
Moments later, a young man was brought to the hospital following a motorbike accident that left his face badly injured.
Honesty, there is a problem. Residents are suffering.
Mulyungi told Ngilu to practice humanity and open the hospital by finding money to pay doctors and nurses.
