Kitui County leadership led by Governor Charity Ngilu will on Monday hold a discussion with interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi.
The meeting will seek to find a lasting solution to the banditry menace which continues to disrupt peace along the Kitui-Tana River Counties.
Governor Ngilu said this at Uae in Mutumo ward, Kitui South subcounty, while attending the burial of the slain Kalambani Primary school teacher, Jonathan Ngau.
Speaking at the event, she said that this issue of banditry attacks has to come to an end, for Kitui people cant live like IDPs in their own land, after being driven away by armed Somali herders who kill and maim at will.
The late succumbed to spear injuries inflicted on him by Somali Carmel herders on 19 September 2019.
The Kitui South MP Rachael Kaki and former Kitui Deputy Governor Peninah Malonza were also in attendance.
