Kitui Hands over second batch of uniforms for chiefs


Kitui County today released the second batch of chiefs’ uniforms made at the County textile factory {KICOTEC}.


Today’s consignment of 2973 pieces is chunk of the uniforms the factory was tendered in April as directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.


The factory previously released 2804 pieces in a ceremony held at the factory and attended by Governor Ngilu, the Critical Infrastructure Commanding Officer Musa Kakawa and County Commissioner John Ondego among others.

Deputy Governor Dr. Wathe Nzau, who was speaking at KICOTEC said the factory will continue producing quality garments to match the competitive world market.

“We’ve so far proved that our products are of good quality. I call upon different organizations to offer this factory business”. Said Wathe.


Today’s delivery was received by Omwange Nyakundi, the Master tailor-in the National Police Service.
