Sinohydro Corporation has asked motorists to exercise increased caution when driving along yet to be tarmacked sections of the Kitui-Kibwezi road.
The Chinese company constructing the Kitui-Mutomo-Kibwezi highway further warned motorists against speeding or overlapping along those sections saying such actions not only jeopardize the safety and convenience of the motorists but all road users as well.
The contractor said the ongoing heavy October rains continue to flood roads and rivers posing a great danger to road users mostly along road diversions.
Through an official Mr. Li Min, Sinohydro asked road users to follow the road signs placed to guide them navigate dangerous spots.
Mr. Min added that road guides will be placed along dangerous spots like the Nzeeu River bridge which is under construction.
“We ask motorists to follow the directions given by our flag waving road guides at this dangerous section of the road”
He said tarmacking of the section between Chuluni market and Kitui town will be completed before the end of the year.
