Machakos Governor and Maendeleo Chap chap, Dr Alfred Mutua, on December 26, urged former Vice-President Kalonzo to finally put an end to his political career by retiring.
Speaking from his Machakos office l, the governor pointed out that it would be a wise move if the wiper leader quit while he still commanded some respect from some people in Ukambani and in Kenya.
“Leaders who are expired, leaders who have nothing to offer to our people should quit while they are ahead,” he stated.
Governor Mutua made his remarks in response to the recent spat between the Wiper party leader and former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama.
“It is time for Kalonzo and Muthama to retire. Everything and everyone has an expiry date,” the Machakos governor reiterated.
He went on to reveal that he was planning a grand meeting to forge a clear path for the people of Ukambani.
