Kitui County officials in court over utmost a billion flawed tenders. 


Three kitui county government officers were today arraigned in kitui court for knowingly flawing Road and drifts construction tenders worth millions of money in the financial years 2016-2017 where the county lost close to a whooping billion Ksh.

The three Jeremiah Nguli kisilu-chairman of then tender committee, Rodgers Makau Sande – secretary of then Tender Evaluation Committee and June Mawiya Munyao-Cheif Officer Finance, appearing before kitui chief magistrate Stephen Mbungi pleaded not guilty.


All were released on bond, Kisilu -5 million with surety of similar amount or 1.5 million cash bail, Rodgers Makau 2 million with surety of same amount or 1 million cash bail and June Mawiya 2 million with surety of similar amount or 1 million cash bail.


The three accused officers who earlier today had appeared in machakos court for the same case before being reffered to Kitui, will appear again in court on 22nd January for pretrial.
