Repentance is the only way, said Pastor Samuel Kinyungu of God’s Revelation church, Mwingi.
According to him, only God will save his people, once they have knelt down and repented.
“I wish we would repent together as a nation, I believe God will have mercy on us and forgive us,” said Kinyungu
2Chronicles 7:13-14, whenever I hold back rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people,
14; If they pray to me and repent and turn away from evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again.
Looking at it keenly, we are living at times characterized by evil deeds.
People killing one another, some pastors raping minors, fathers defiling own children, false prophecy, churches turning into market places where what is necessary is the offering and not serving God, incest, idolatry has proved a normal act, idol worship, oppression of the poor among other iniquities.
In my own opinion, Religious Leaders should take center stage in leading Kenyans the repentance way.
