Wiper and NARC parties are set to lock horns over control of tomorrow’s Kitui BBI rally.
Indeed it will be a showdown between Kalonzo’s Wiper and Ngilu’s Narc. Wiper and NARC local leaders sharply differed over who will control the national debate on proposed constitutional changes.
Addressing the press in Kitui Town, Kitui Central legislato, Hon Makali Mulu of Wiper Party said the event will be a Wiper party’s affair given that it will be held in Kalonzo Musyoka’s political backyard.
“Wiper will be the host party and that’s not up for debate. We will accord all leaders from across the country the dignity they deserve,” he said. Makali also maintained that Kalonzo Musyoka will be the chief guest.
Leader of Minority in Kitui County Assembly and Miambani MCA Hon Alex Nganga rubbished Wiper’s position and declared that Governor Charity Ngilu remains the host.
“Let the Wiper Party also know that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will be the chief guest but not Kalonzo Musyoka,” Nganga, who is also the Miambani MCA, told Wiper leadership to organize its own rally at a later date
“instead of complicating Wiper will be the host party and that’s not up for debate. We will accord all leaders from across the country the dignity they deserve,” he said.
