Charity begins at home:KICOTEC to give free face masks to Kitui residents


The Kitui County Textile Center, KICOTEC has rolled out a distribution process of Face masks to all Kitui county residents.

Kitui county governor Charity Ngilu said that in order to facilitate the process, every Member of County Assembly has been allocated face masks to distribute to their constituents.

Speaking shortly after handing over the consignments to the mcas, ngilu noted that the fight against the corona virus was a collective battle that needed leaders in the county to work in unison.

“The Kitui Members of County Assembly received free face masks from Kitui County Textile Centre KICOTEC for onward distribution to Kitui residents in the various wards and towns.

The Assembly leadership led by Deputy Speaker Hon. Kasee Musya, Minority Leader Hon. Alex Nganga and Majority Deputy Leader Hon. Colleta Kimanzi were present to receive the free face masks on behalf of the Assembly.”  Governor Ngilu said. 



The governor further reiterated her commitment to continue giving out free face masks to Kitui residents in the fight against the spread of Corona Virus.
