Can’t Vote In CPSB’s Unqualified Persons, MCA Mati

Kitui County Assembly Chambers

The county government of Kitui through the Department of Roads has been urged to put aside the divisive politics but instead ensure equity in development in each of the 40 wards.

This call has been made by Mutonguni MCA Musee Mati, who has noted the negligence in upgrading 50Km roads stretch in some wards where the ward reps. seem uncooperative to the county.

Mati has revealed that the road repair that had already commenced within his area of representation has been halted under unclear circumstances thereby calling off politics into the road maintenance exercise.

In his efforts to know why the tractor was withdrawn from within his ward for private hiring with only 15kms remaining, Mati reached the Lands, Infrastructure, and Urban Development CECM Jacob Kakundi who unearthed that the ward legislator has been against the county government of Kitui .

Mati, however, has vowed never to support unqualified persons to take up the county job vacancies as was in the CPSB, where he voted no to the candidates who had been proposed to take up the positions.
