Makueni placed under two curfews to curb insecurity

Makueni County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim has put Makueni under another curfew. This is coming after insecurity alert Makueni – Kajiado border.

In his press briefing he stated that no one apart from security teams and dogs will be allowed to move from 6pm – 6am.

He assured the tensed residents in Mikululo village, Makindu Sub County that more police officers have been deployed to restore peace and order in the area.

The move to beef up the security comes after two successive deadly attacks by unknown assailants suspected to be from the neighbouring Kajiado County.

He further confirmed to the residents that GSU and RDU police units have been deployed to mann the insecurity stricken area alongside the existing police forces.

C.C Maalim assured the residents that the security team has elaborate measures in place and will soon capture the killer attackers.The armed assailants whom they suspect to have their hideouts in the neighbouring hill tops wait until late in the night when they come out grouped in numbers targeting certain strategised villages.

The C.C has ordered the residents not to move out for the time period between 6PM and 6AM to smoothen the security patrols.
