Electorates in Mutomo/Kibwea ward have launched a bid to recall their Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon David Masaku Munyau over what they termed as persistent neglect of electorate.

In a petition to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the voters say Masaku has violated Chapter Six of the Constitution on integrity and ethics and failed to represent the interest of the people who elected him in the county assembly.

Masaku is also accused of being among the 10 MCAs who had been quarantined at Tsavo purposely not to be part of Impeachment Motion.

It’s alleged the said MCAs received bribe from Governor Ngilu to shoot down the impeachment motion which had been tabled by the majority leader.

The local residents have already started to collecting signatures to have the MCA.

By the time of this publication over 1,000 signatures had already been collected in less than 72 hours.
