Kitui Benefits from sh. 68.25 Million for Youth and Women.

Youth and Women groups in Kitui have benefited from sh. 68.25 million shillings from cheques issued by the Chief Adminstrative Secretary for Public Service, Youth and Gender Rachael Shebesh during her visit to Kitui.

Speaking at Kitui Stadium during the issuance of cheques, Governor Ngilu said the government was empowering women and youth through the distribution of the revolving funds to help them engage in economic activities calling on women and Youth to seek access to the funds.

On her part, CA Shebesh said the government was determined to empower the youth and women economically and socially.

Shebesh praised Governor Ngilu for mentoring many women leaders in the country and called on Kenyans to support the BBI Initiative.

The event was graced by the Secretary State Department of Gender Faith Kasiva, Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Nyamai, Women Enterprise Fund CEO Eng. Mwirigi and Madam Carolyne Murgo of the UNFPA.
