Kitui Launches first dry land beach in Kenya

On Tuesday, December 22nd Kitui launched a Man Made Beach at Kalundu Eco Park in Kitui town.

The first dry land beach in Kenya.

The County Government of Kitui under leadership of H.E Governor Charity Ngilu has literally brought the Kenyan Coast into Kitui.

A 30.9 acre recreational development that includes a 9 acre dam we are developing to harness Kitui’s tourism potential.

On completion, the recreational development will include, a floating restaurant, kayaking, jet skiing, walkways among other amenities.

“This is an investment that will spur business opportunities within and outside the Eco Park whilst creating employment for our people.

I have today officially opened it up to the public for utilization during the Christmas festivities especially at this tough time of the COVID 19 pandemic when travel to traditional holiday destinations is severely limited” Governor Ngilu
