Kenya Medical Training College, KMTC Makindu campus together all stakeholders from the business community, youth, women groups, and the county government of Makueni among others on Thursday organized a clean up exercise in Makindu market.
The clean-up exercise in Makindu was mooted jointly with partners to not only raise awareness on the importance of a clean environment but on how to effectively use facemask to reduce spread of Covid-19.
Speaking during the cleanup, KMTC principal Luciana Kaloki attributed the success to the continuous sensitisation which has made residents take responsibility for their waste in their homes and their surroundings.
Kaloki urged the residents to continue observing covid guidelines set by MOH.
“As a medicsl college, we will lead by example on public heath, we will as well teach people on its importance ” Kaloki added
