172 groups benefit from 16M from uwezo fund


On Tuesdays, June 15th Mwingi groups benefit from 16M from Uwezo funds.

Kitui County Mp Hon Dr. Irene Kasalu and Mwingi central Mp Hon Dr Mulyungi led the issuance of Uwezo funds.

Over 172 women, youth and persons living with disability groups in mwingi central constituency have today benefited.

Giving his remarks, Uwezo chairman, Prof. Losenge Turoop urged beneficiary groups to make good use of the funds, to pay back in time for others to benefit.

“it’s a revolving fund, has no interest. Therefore it is omportant to pay back for other groups to borrow or same groups apply for higher amountc” Turoop said

Giving her remarks Kasalu called on beneficiaries to make good use of the money. She agreed with Turoop that groups should plan and purpose to pay in time

“I urge youths to register more groups and ensure that they meet the requirements needed to qualify for the next disbursement and those who have benefited to utilize the funds to boost your business and maximize profits” Hon kasalu said.

The Uwezo Fund has created an avenue of growth for starting businesses and is the only revolving fund without interest.
