Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in Kibwezi East constituency have a reason to smile after receiving registration certificates on Saturday June 26.

The hand-over function was graced by the Kibwezi East Coordinator Dennis Kioko, his Kibwezi West counterpart Christine, Pastor Kioko, Paul Mutunga, Peter Munyao, and James. Nine CBOs were received bursary cheques while the Kathekani-based side were initiated into table banking.

Speaking with the CBO members, Pastor Kioko said that the Office of Makueni Women Rep is much devoted to support affirmative action groups through bursaries and scholarships to access education opportunities.

Dennis Kioko noted that this year has seen the number of disbursed bursaries rising exponentially since Nine CBOs were all factored out. Dennis also thanked the CBOs leaders for their work they did in mapping out the cases in an open, transparent manner full of integrity as compared to years gone by. He thanked Hon Rose Museo for doing very best she could do to deal with the needy cases this year.
