The Wiper Democratic Movement Party through their Party leader Jon Kalonzo Musyoka have endorsed former Mombasa County Minister Hon. Munywoki Kyalo for the Changamwe parliamentary seat in 2022.
This, the party announced, during Kalonzo’s two-day tour of the coastal region. During the tour, Kalonzo met Wiper Party’s delegates at the Mombasa Beach Hotel on July 30th where they discussed his presidential bid for the 2022 general elections.
Kalonzo, alongside other key leaders of the party also took the chance to strengthen their hold in Mombasa. They did so by endorsing the former Mombasa County Minister Hon. Munywoki Kyalo, is the party’s candidate of choice for the Changamwe Member of Parliament seat in 2022.
During the delegates’ meeting, Wiper party leadership called on all its members to work together in unity to clinch the country’s top seat in the coming elections.
Hon. Munywoki initially served as the CEC for the Youth, Gender, Sports, and Cultural affairs ministry in Mombasa County. The leaders has strong relations with the locals of Changamwe and resonates well with most county leaders thus making him the perfect candidate for Wiper.
The party leader also paid a visit to the Akamba handcraft association members in Changamwe constituency to drum up support for his presidential bid. While addressing a section of local residents, Kalonzo promised to support businesses across the country and make Kenya an entrepreneurial hub on East and Central Africa.
“Businesses all across the country need government and multistakeholder support focused towards making Kenya an entrepreneurial hub across the region…”Kalonzo said
The Wiper boss also called on ODM Party leader Hon Raila Odinga and former gubernatorial aspirant Hon Shahbal to back his candidature together.
This comes days after Wiper party announced its intention to quit the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition. NASA was officially dissolved on Tuesday August 3, when Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula,and Musalia Mudavadi made the announcement.
