The former Machakos county’s senator Johnstone Muthama has come at Governor Charity Ngilu, guns blazing, to condemn her for attacking the deputy president in the past few days.
In the recent past, Governor Charity Ngilu has been attacking DP William Ruto, responding on his Twitter posts in what can only be termed as positive critiquing.
And on Monday August 9, governor Ngilu was once again on Ruto’s neck, after the DP tweeted on the controversial Deportation of Turkish businessman Harun Aydin.
Ngilu called out DP Ruto for purporting to speak on behalf of the government and apologising to the Turkish national, yet it is the same government that had arrested and devoted him.
But even before the dust could settle on Ruto’s post, UDA party chairman Johnson Muthama has come out to tell off Governor Ngilu, over what he termed as her obsession with the DP.
Taking to his Twitter page, Muthama accused Ngilu of her recent outbursts on Ruto, saying it seems the Kitui governor has forgotten her duties of serving his Kitui residents.
“It’s unfortunate & absurd for her to choose pettiness instead of serving the electorate,” read Muthama’s post on Twitter
This came just a day after Ngilu attacked William Ruto, for publicly apologizing to deported Turkish businessman Aydin Harun on behalf of the Kenyan government, over his controversial deportation from Kenya.
Ngilu wondered how Ruto could apologize on behalf of the government, saying the country has only one government, which had allegedly arrested and deported Harun over alleged terrorist activities.
The governor warned Ruto against exporting confusion he has allegedly created in the country to international Kenyan trade partners.
