Why more Wiper MCAs are shifting to UDA despite stern actions taken by Kitui County Assembly
Kalumaita speaks Despite Kitui county assembly leadership condemning a section of 15 MCAs who led a delegation of 600 Kitui locals to visit deputy president William Ruto at his home in Karen Nairobi, one more from the Wiper Party has joined the Hustler’s camp.
This is after Kitui leadership led by speaker George Ndoto , majority and minority leaders said those mcas were representing their own interests and not county assembly’s interest .
Despite being removed from various assembly committees for those who visited DP, Migwani MCA, Philip Nguli aka Kalumaita who was pictured together with the DP on Tuesday has broken silence on why he went to see Ruto.
On his Migwani whatsapp group, Kalumaita wrote :Hallo good members. Yesterday I did visit the office of the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Dr. Samoie RUTO on invitation to discuss matters development of my ward. Top of the discussion among others was YOUTH AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT.
His Excellency has committed to do a fundraiser for all Bodaboda operators in Migwani and also the Women groups. This will be a big boost to empower our youth and bring affirmative action for the women of this ward. Let’s keep on engaging stakeholders such as the national government especially in the ministries, the corporate world such as Safaricom and Equity on matters Education, water, food security and wealth creation for our people.
The constitution of Kenya 2010 guarantees freedom of association in the bill of rights and hence there should be no cause for alarm as I was executing the delegated power under article 1(2). God bless you all.Ends
