Former vice president and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been cleared of the land grabbing charges that have been holding him down for ages. Kalonzo was officially cleared by the DCI from allegations of grabbing National Youth Service (NYS) land on Wednesday, August 25.
Investigations by the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI),according to DCI boss, George Kinoti, show that Kalonzo’s land grabbing allegations are unfounded. Kinoti clarified that the Former Vice President acquired the contended Yatta piece of land by legal means.
The land,on which Kalonzo’s home sits is fully owned by PASTEV Holdings Limited, a company belonging to the former VP. The land was legally acquired from anothee company known as BETRACO Limited by Kalonzo’s company.
“The National Youth Service alleged to ve the legitimate owners of the subject property categorically stated that they have no bona fide propriety ownership interest if the same at all. It is, therefore, established that the property mentioned above is legally owned by PASTEV Holdings Limited,” Kinoti said.
Kalonzo on the other hand, said that he has always had a clear conscience since the land legally belongs to him. He noted that land grabbing is not his style of doing things.
“The truth illuminated itself, and the lies have been exposed. The DCI has found zero evidence of wrongdoing on my part. This reflects my principles and values in life that you do not need to steal to become relevant in society. Indeed, hard work pays,” Kalonzo said.
Accusations of grabbing the land have been a subject of attacks directed at the Wiper leader with the DCI report giving him relief.
“All relevant documentation required to investigate this matter thoroughly was availed to the DCI. That is the correct approach that should be taken when false utterances are made against them,” Kalonzo stated.
