Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has challenged leaders to focus on service delivery to mwananchi rather than empty rhetoric.
Speaking this afternoon when she met Redeemed Gospel Churches of Kenya regional and sub-regional overseers, the governor noted that leaders must be accountable for the offices entrusted to them by the electorate.
“A leaders core duty is implementing projects that serve to transform the lives of mwananchi just as my administration has strived to do albeit detraction from enemies of progress,” she emphasized.
Governor Ngilu also reiterated the need for leaders especially from Ukambani to lead the region on a political path that aims at securing a seat at the country’s top leadership.
“To end marginalization and guarantee meaningful development for our people, we need our own at the high table where the national cake is divided. Leaders must therefore work together towards that goal,” the county boss pointed out.
