Kyuso market to upgrade soon, see why

Kyuso market is set to enjoy benwfetis of being a town.


This is according to County Executive Committee Member for Infrastructure, Transport, Housing, and Urban Development Stephen Kyalo Watutu after he held a public participation with opinion leaders and key stakeholders in Kyuso vocational training center, on the creation of Kyuso Town Administration.

Kyuso Ward MCA Stephen Musili said that Kyuso is the sub county’s headquarter, where its accessible to all the other wards in Mwingi North, and the town status will bring more services closer to locals.

Kyuso Market chairperson Wilfred Mbithi, Urged leaders to be supportive to the officers who will earmark the town boundaries, and not politicize the process.

All the other leaders present welcomed the idea of the upgrade from market to town status.

This move will open the town for installation of Street lighting, Library Services, Health facilities, abattoirs, Bus Park, improved road network, recreational parks, sports and cultural centers, solid waste management, vocational institutions, among other services.

Also in attendance were the CECM Meshack Kyalo, and Deputy Director Housing and Urban Development Agnes Mulwa.
