Endau residents urged to respect Somali’s camel

The prolonged dry season has pushed camel herders from Tana River into Kitui county in search of water and pasture, fueling fears of possible conflict over the scarcity of natural resources.

Reportedly Endau residents in Kitui East have been killing the camels, thereby rubbing shoulders with the pastoralist community.

Endau police boss Patrick Sang has urged the locals to respect the somali community and instead report any matter to the security team and avoid taking the law into their own hands.
